In the silence of the night, my heart does yearn,
For dreams once bright, now left to burn.
Rejection’s cold embrace, a bitter sting,
In shadows deep, where sorrow clings.
A whispered hope, now lost in time,
Unanswered calls, a distant chime.
The echo fades, a lonely tune,
Beneath the pale and weeping moon.
I walk alone, on paths unseen,
Through fields of gray, where once was green.
The stars look down, with pity’s gaze,
As I drift through this endless maze.
Yet in my soul, a spark remains,
To rise above these empty chains.
For though rejection clouds my sky,
I’ll find my wings, and learn to fly.
