Echoes of a Silenced Dawn: Whispers of Freedom in the Shadow of Martial Law

Poetry Image

In the silence of the night, freedom’s cry subdued,
Shadows stretch long under a sky that’s muted blue.
Voices once loud now speak in hushed refrain,
Dreams of liberty shackled by invisible chains.

Streets once bustling now eerily still,
The weight of oppression, a bitter pill.
Eyes that once sparkled with hope and light,
Now dimmed by the darkness of an endless night.

Whispers of rebellion in the hearts so brave,
Yearning for the freedom that they once gave.
The spirit unbroken, though the body confined,
In the depths of despair, hope they still find.

As dawn approaches, a new day to greet,
The chains of martial law they vow to defeat.
For freedom’s flame, though flickering low,
In every heart, it continues to glow.
