Whispers of Solitude: Longing for Connection

Poetry Image

In the stillness of an empty room,
Echoes of silence softly loom.
Shadows dance on barren walls,
Loneliness within me crawls.

The clock ticks, a metronome of time,
In isolation, thoughts intertwine.
Windows frame a world outside,
Yet here, in solitude, I hide.

Memories of voices, laughter’s song,
In the quiet, I belong.
Dreams of faces, familiar and dear,
Fade away, replaced by fear.

But in the heart of this seclusion,
I find a whisper of illusion.
A hope that one day, I’ll break free,
From this isolation, and just be.
