Reflections on Philip Larkin’s Parents

Poetry Image

In the quiet whisper of the night,
Echoes of their voices still resound,
Their love, a gentle, guiding light,
In memory’s chamber, ever found.

A father’s strength, a mother’s grace,
Together weaving life’s embrace,
With every word and in each space,
The past and present interlace.

Their hands that shaped, their hearts that cared,
Through years of joy and trials shared,
In every tear and laughter paired,
The legacy of love declared.

So let us honor and reflect,
On lives entwined with deep respect,
For in their steps, we find our own,
In gratitude, their seeds are sown.
