In the Quiet Echoes of Solitude

Poetry Image

In the quiet echoes of solitude,
Where silence wraps its arms around,
I find your whispers in the wind,
Though you are nowhere to be found.

The shadows dance on empty walls,
Their silent steps a mournful sound,
Each heartbeat feels a thousand miles,
In this deserted, hollow ground.

Stars above seem farther still,
As loneliness spreads like an ocean wide,
The moon a solitary friend,
In whom my secrets I confide.

Yet hope does linger in the dark,
That one day light will pierce the night,
And loneliness will fade away,
As morning brings a new delight.
