The Shadows of Fear

Poetry Image

In the silence of the night, shadows creep,
Whispers of dread in the darkness deep.
Hearts race with every creak and groan,
In fear’s cold grip, we feel alone.

Eyes wide open, yet visions blurred,
By fears unspoken, never heard.
Paralyzed by the unknown’s might,
Holding breath, we brace for fright.

The mind’s dark corners, they do play,
Tricks and terrors in disarray.
No escape from the phantom’s call,
As shadows dance on the wall.

But with dawn’s light, fear takes flight,
Shadows retreat, banished by the sight.
Courage found in morning’s glow,
As fear fades, our spirits grow.
