The Weight of Early Vows: A Journey Unseen

Poetry Image

In the dawn of life, when dreams should soar,
A veil descends, youth is no more.
Bound by promises, too early made,
In a world where innocence should never fade.

Childhood whispers, hushed and stilled,
Underneath a burden, heavy and unfulfilled.
Eyes that should sparkle with wonder and delight,
Now dimmed by shadows, lost in the night.

The dance of time, cruel and swift,
Stealing moments, a silent rift.
Hearts entwined in a hurried haste,
Missing the joys they should have embraced.

Yet in the twilight, hope may gleam,
In dreams deferred, a future redeemed.
Breaking free from chains, they rise,
To reclaim their youth, beneath open skies.
