The Weight of Broken Promises

Poetry Image

In the shadows of whispered dreams,
Lies a heart burdened by its seams.
Promises once bright, now fade away,
Leaving echoes of a brighter day.

Hopes woven with threads of gold,
Now unravel, left in the cold.
Eyes that once shone with light,
Now reflect the endless night.

Trust, a fragile glass, now cracked,
Reflects the moments we lacked.
Words that were meant to heal,
Now only deepen the wound, surreal.

In the silence of a broken vow,
We find the strength to somehow
Rebuild from the ruins, though slow,
And let the seeds of hope again grow.
