The Silent Shadows of Jealousy

Poetry Image

In the corners of my heart, shadows creep,
Whispers of envy in the night so deep.
The green-eyed monster, silent and sly,
Casts a pallor over the sky.

Dreams of what was never mine,
Haunt my thoughts, entwine, entwine.
The bitter taste of what could be,
Consumes my soul, won’t set me free.

Eyes that wander to another’s grace,
Reflect my longing, my inner chase.
The battle rages within my mind,
For peace and solace, hard to find.

Yet in this storm, a truth I see,
Jealousy’s chains can be set free.
With love and trust, the heart can mend,
And find the light around the bend.
